The 9FLNG is a tile flange kit for American Standard acrylic walk-in tubs. 3) When do I install the tile flange on a walk-in tub, before or after setting the tub in the alcove?
Before. The flange goes onto the tub while it is still out in the open, then the tub is set into the alcove. Trying to add it after the tub is in place leaves you working blind against the studs on three sides. Plan the sequence with your framing inspection and rough plumbing so the tub is not set until the flange is on and the adhesive has grabbed.
