American Standard M953570-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Amarilis showerhead thread onto my existing shower arm?
Yes in nearly all cases. Showerheads sold in the North American market, including the American Standard Amarilis, use the standard 1/2 inch NPT female inlet, which is the same thread on essentially every residential and commercial shower arm. If your arm is in good shape, you can swap the head without opening the wall. Use fresh PTFE tape on the arm threads.
2) What is the part number and finish for the American Standard Amarilis showerhead?
The Amarilis showerhead from American Standard is ordered under manufacturer part number M953570-0020A, and it comes in a chrome finish. Chrome is the only finish offered on this model, so if you're matching other trim in the bath, plan around polished chrome.
3) Is the American Standard Amarilis a showerhead only, or does it include a valve and trim?
Amarilis M953570 is the showerhead itself, not a complete shower system. The valve, the trim plate, and the shower arm and flange are separate purchases. For a full replacement on a multi-family or hotel bath, budget for the arm and escutcheon as well unless you're reusing the existing arm in the wall.
