American Standard AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Bidet Seat and Edgemere Chair Height Elongated 1.28 gpf/4.8 Lpf Toilet Combo - AMS-602AA002

It needs power. The AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet seat has instant water heating, a heated seat and a night light, all of which require an electrical outlet near the toilet. If the wall behind the fixture has no receptacle, budget for an electrician before the install date, because there is no non-electric version of this seat.

The AquaWash 2.0 fits most conventional elongated toilets, so it can be moved to or ordered for an existing elongated bowl. It will not suit a round-front bowl. The seat sits at an ultra-low 3.5 inch (95mm) profile, so it does not raise the seating height much over a standard seat.

The package covers the Edgemere chair height elongated toilet with a chrome finished metal trip lever and EZ-Install tools, plus the AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet bidet seat. You supply the wax ring or gasket, closet bolts, and a supply stop and connector as needed, and you need a working receptacle for the seat. Ordering code is MPN 602AA002.020 in white.

Yes, the Edgemere bowl is chair height with an elongated bowl, which puts the seat closer to standard chair seating and makes sitting and standing easier for older residents. That combination is what most property managers are after when they spec an ADA-style comfort height fixture for a unit turn.

1.28 gpf (4.8 Lpf), which is a High Efficiency Toilet using about 20 percent less water than a 1.6 gpf fixture, and it is WaterSense certified. That certification is what most municipal and utility rebate programs ask for.

Controls are manual, by a side dial mounted on the seat. You get adjustable water pressure, two water temperature settings and two seat temperature settings from that dial. There is no remote or wall panel to mount, which keeps the install to a water connection and a plug.

It is a residential fixture. The Edgemere/AquaWash 2.0 combo is classified residential, so it suits apartments, hotel guest rooms, assisted living units and single-family baths rather than high-traffic public restrooms, which typically call for a flushometer bowl.

White only. The combo ships as one configuration, MPN 602AA002.020, so there is no bone or linen option to match against older fixtures in a building.

Cleaning was clearly part of the design. The seat pops off with one push so you can get at the hinge area and the bowl rim, the nozzles are self-cleaning, and the bowl carries an EverClean surface that inhibits stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew. The PowerWash rim scrubs the bowl on every flush. The lid and seat are slow-close, which matters when tenants are hard on hardware.
