Both pieces are included. The Edgemere 8-inch widespread combination is sold as the lavatory top plus the pedestal leg in white, under part number 445800.02, and it ships with a mounting kit. You do not need to source the pedestal or the mounting hardware as separate line items.

The bowl measures 17-1/8 inches (435 mm) wide, 12 inches (305 mm) front to back, and 5-1/4 inches (133 mm) deep. That depth is shallow by lavatory standards, so a tall gooseneck spout will splash more than a standard-reach spout will. There is also a faucet, soap and accessory ledge behind the bowl with a usable shelf area, which is the practical difference between this and a bare-deck pedestal.

It is built to American Standard's Right Height, which sets the rim higher than a traditional pedestal lavatory for easier use standing. If you are matching rim heights across a row of existing standard-height pedestals in a building, this one will sit higher, so check that before mixing them on the same wall.

Plan on it. The pedestal carries part of the load but the lavatory top is still wall-anchored through the supplied mounting kit, so a stud or backing behind the finished wall at the bracket line is what keeps it stable. On a remodel where the wall is already closed, confirm you have solid backing before you commit to a pedestal rather than a vanity.

The column conceals the trap and stops, but only if the rough-in is centered behind it. Pedestal columns are narrow, so an off-center drain or widely spread supply stubs will show at the sides. If your existing rough-in was set for a vanity, expect to relocate the drain and stops to the sink centerline when you swap to the Edgemere pedestal.

Fine fireclay, which is a denser, higher-fired body than standard vitreous china and takes daily cleaning and abrasion well. That makes it a reasonable choice for multi-family turns, hospitality guest baths and light commercial washrooms where a pedestal is wanted over a vanity.
