American Standard M907552-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is American Standard part M907552 - is it the trim plate or the faucet itself?
M907552 is an escutcheon, the decorative cover plate that trims out a faucet installation and hides the opening around the valve body. It is a faucet part only, not a valve, cartridge, or complete faucet. American Standard lists it as an Eljer escutcheon.
2) I manage apartments with Eljer faucets - can I use this escutcheon as a like-for-like replacement plate?
It is an American Standard escutcheon identified for Eljer faucet trim, so it is the plate to pull when you are replacing a cracked or pitted cover on that fixture line rather than swapping the whole faucet. Match the finish to the handles and spout already on the sink, chrome or stainless, and confirm your existing faucet model calls for the M907552 plate before you order a batch for multiple units.
3) What finishes does the American Standard M907552 escutcheon come in, and what are the order numbers?
Two finishes. Chrome is M907552-0020A and stainless steel is M907552-0750A. Order by the full suffixed number so the plate matches the rest of the faucet trim on the fixture.
4) Does the M907552 escutcheon come with a cartridge, gasket kit, or mounting hardware?
What you are buying is the escutcheon plate in the finish you select, chrome or stainless steel. Valve internals, cartridges, handles, and spouts are separate parts. If the repair involves a leak rather than cosmetic damage to the cover plate, you will need the corresponding valve repair part in addition to this escutcheon.
