American Standard Flowise Square 1.5 gpm/5.7 L/min Water-Saving Fixed Showerhead - AMS-1660811

Flow is capped at 1.5 gpm (5.7 L/min) by a pressure-compensating flow control device built into the head, so it holds that maximum rather than drifting up on high-pressure risers. American Standard rates that as roughly 40 percent water savings against a standard head. For property managers standardizing bathrooms on a low-flow spec, it is a direct swap at the shower arm.

The FloWise square head uses a turbine spray at the 1.5 gpm maximum, which concentrates the reduced volume rather than letting it fan out and go soft. The pressure-compensating control also keeps the flow steady when other fixtures on the line are running, so the spray does not surge and fade.

Yes, it is angle adjustable at the ball joint, so the spray can be aimed up or down on the shower arm after install. That is the usual fix when one head has to serve a range of users in a rental or dorm bath.

No. This is a fixed wall-mount head that threads onto a standard 1/2 inch NPT shower arm, the same connection a conventional head comes off of, so it is a wrench-and-tape swap with no wall work. It is a showerhead only, not a hand shower or slide bar kit, so there is no hose or bracket in the package.

Chrome is the finish offered, ordered as American Standard 1660811.002. If the rest of the trim in the bath is polished chrome, it matches; there is no brushed nickel or matte black option on this square FloWise head.
