American Standard M962404-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the American Standard M962404 Princeton handle kit used for?
It is a replacement trip handle kit for American Standard Princeton toilets. The catalog lists the application as toilet, so this is the flush handle assembly, not a faucet or bath handle.
2) Will this American Standard handle kit fit any toilet tank, or only Princeton?
It is specified as the Princeton handle kit. Trip lever arm length and the tank hole location vary between American Standard series, so on a non-Princeton tank you should order the handle kit called out for that model instead of assuming this one drops in.
3) What finishes does the Princeton M962404 toilet handle kit come in?
Two: chrome, ordered as M962404-0020A, and brushed nickel, ordered as M962404-2950A. Those are the only two finishes offered, so match the one on the rest of the trim in the bathroom before you order.
4) I manage a building with a lot of Princeton toilets. Can I standardize on one handle part number?
Yes, for Princeton models. The M962404 kit is the American Standard Princeton handle kit, and you only need to pick a finish: M962404-0020A in chrome or M962404-2950A in brushed nickel. Stock one finish across the property and the replacement is the same part every time.
5) Is the M962404 a complete handle kit or just the lever?
It is sold as a handle kit, so it covers the trip lever assembly rather than a bare lever alone. Reuse the existing flapper chain unless it is worn, and swap it separately if it is.
