American Standard Monterrey 8-Inch Widespread 8-inch Reach Gooseneck Faucet with Wrist Blade Handles 0.5 gpm/1.9 Lpm - AMS-6540177

Yes. The Monterrey 6540177 is an 8 inch widespread faucet, so it mounts to the standard three-hole 8 inch center-to-center deck. The cast brass valve bodies come with 8 inch (203 mm) rigid copper connections between the bodies and the spout, and the shanks are 1/2 inch (13 mm) male thread with brass coupling nuts included.

Yes. The Monterrey gooseneck faucet is ADA compliant, and the wrist blade handles are what get it there: they operate without grasping, pinching, or twisting the wrist. The handles are also vandal resistant and carry red and blue indices, which is what most facility specs call for in public washrooms.

It is a 0.5 gpm / 1.9 Lpm faucet. The outlet is a pressure-compensating vandal-resistant multi-laminar spray, so the flow holds at 0.5 gpm across varying supply pressure rather than drifting up on a high-pressure line. That's the flow rate most public lavatory specs and metered-use restroom standards are written around.

Both, your choice at install. The 8 inch (203 mm) reach gooseneck spout is field-convertible between rigid and swivel, so the same faucet can be locked down for a public restroom where you don't want the spout moved, or left swiveling for a service or utility sink where you need to clear the basin.

The Monterrey 8 inch widespread gooseneck faucet is lead-free, with cast brass valve bodies. That is the requirement for any fixture dispensing water for drinking or food prep, which matters if it is going into a school, healthcare, or foodservice hand sink.

The Monterrey uses washerless ceramic disc valves rather than rubber washers or seats, which is why it's specified for commercial duty. There are no compression washers to wear out and start dripping under constant cycling. Combined with the vandal-resistant wrist blades and cast brass bodies, this is a faucet built for public restroom traffic rather than residential use.

The shanks are 1/2 inch (13 mm) male thread with brass coupling nuts supplied, so you connect standard 1/2 inch supply risers straight to them. No adapter is needed for a conventional 1/2 inch angle stop and riser setup. The 8 inch rigid copper connections between the valve bodies and spout are already part of the assembly.

Polished chrome, ordered as MPN 6540177.002. That is the only finish this model is built in, so if you are standardizing a building on a brushed or matte finish, this particular Monterrey configuration won't match it.

The spout reaches 8 inches (203 mm) from the body, which puts the outlet well out over the basin on a standard lavatory or exam sink. The gooseneck height also leaves room to fill buckets or carafes that won't fit under a low-arc spout. If the spout is set to swivel rather than locked rigid, you can also swing it clear of the bowl when the sink is in use for something else.
