American Standard M953667-0020A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the American Standard M953667 handspray come with the hose, or is that ordered separately?
Both parts come together. The M953667 replacement handspray is supplied as a handspray and hose assembly, so you are not sourcing the hose as a second line item.
2) Is the American Standard New Conoisseur handspray for a kitchen faucet or a bath faucet?
Kitchen use. This handspray and hose assembly is built as a kitchen faucet side spray, and the spec data lists its application as faucet service. If you are chasing a bath or shower handshower, this is the wrong part type.
3) Will the American Standard M953667 sprayer fit any brand of kitchen faucet?
Treat it as an American Standard service part. It is sold as the replacement handspray and hose for American Standard kitchen faucets, and sprayer hose fittings at the faucet outlet vary by manufacturer. For a Moen, Delta or Kohler deck sprayer, order that brand's own hose and spray rather than this one.
4) What finish does the M953667 handspray come in?
One finish is offered, ordered as chrome under part number M953667-0020A, with a stainless steel appearance on the spray head. If the rest of your kitchen faucet trim is brushed nickel or bronze, this sprayer will not match it.
5) Can a property maintenance tech swap this sprayer out without pulling the faucet?
Yes. The New Conoisseur handspray and hose is a field-replaceable assembly described as easy to install, so a tech works from under the sink: disconnect the old hose at the faucet body outlet, pull the old spray and hose up through the deck hole, and feed the new one down. No need to remove the faucet itself.
