No under-deck control box. The Paradigm Selectronic is a self-contained battery faucet with the electronics in the body, so there is nothing to mount in the cabinet. The faucet installs from the top of the deck and the serviceable parts are reachable without pulling the fixture, which matters in a tight vanity or a wall-hung lavatory with limited clearance.

It runs on battery, not line power, so no transformer or junction box is needed at the fixture. A CR-P2 lithium battery rated for 5 years ships installed in the faucet. That makes it a practical retrofit for restrooms where there is no power at the deck.

Single inlet only. The Paradigm Selectronic takes one supply line, for cold or for tempered water. If you want warm water at the spout, you need to temper it upstream with a mixing valve or thermostatic mixer; there is no mixing at the faucet itself.

Not by itself. The faucet is a single-hole fixture, but American Standard offers an optional deck plate that covers 4-inch (102 mm) or 8-inch (203 mm) centers. Order the deck plate separately if you are replacing a centerset or widespread faucet on an existing three-hole deck.

0.35 gpm (1.3 Lpm) through a pressure-compensating multi-laminar spray, so output stays consistent as building pressure fluctuates across floors. The spray outlet is vandal-resistant, which is the reason this one gets specified in schools, airports and public restrooms rather than a standard aerator faucet.

A safety timer shuts the water off automatically after 55 seconds of continuous run, so a blocked sensor or a prank does not flood the basin.
