American Standard Pressure Assist 1.1 gpf/4.2 Lpf Right-Hand Trip Lever EverClean Tank - AMS-4142801

Coupling components are included, so the hardware that joins tank to bowl ships with it. What is not part of a tank order is the bowl itself, the supply line, the angle stop, or the seat. Plan those separately if you are building up a complete fixture rather than swapping a cracked tank.

This is sold as a tank on its own, which is the usual fix when the china tank is cracked or the pressure vessel has failed but the bowl is sound. The catch is that a tank is only correct for the bowl it was engineered against. Pressure-assist tanks are not interchangeable with gravity bowls, and the flush rating has to match, so match the existing bowl's model number before ordering a 1.1 gpf right-hand replacement.

That's the point of pressure assist. A gravity toilet at 1.1 gpf struggles on waste evacuation and drainline carry, but the compressed-air discharge on a pressure-assist unit moves the same volume with much more force, which is why 1.0 to 1.1 gpf pressure-assist fixtures are specified in offices, schools and other high-use buildings. This tank is built for commercial service at 1.1 gpf / 4.2 Lpf.

It ships in White only, ordered as manufacturer part number 4142801.02. There's no other color on this tank, so if the adjacent fixtures in the building are bone or linen, the tank will not match.

Yes, and it's worth thinking about before you spec a fleet. The pressurized discharge makes a sharp whoosh that carries, which is fine in a public restroom core but often a complaint generator in hotel guest rooms, patient rooms, or units sharing a wall with a bedroom. Where noise governs, a gravity high-efficiency bowl is the better call. Where clog calls and drainline carry govern, the 1.1 gpf pressure-assist tank is the one to use.

EverClean is American Standard's antimicrobial surface treatment fired into the glaze. It works on the surface itself to inhibit the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew, so the china stays cleaner between services. It is not a substitute for cleaning, but in a restroom on a light janitorial rotation it slows down the staining that shows up first inside the tank and around the waterline.
