American Standard Pressure Assist 1.1 gpf/4.2 Lpf Right-Hand Trip Lever EverClean Tank With Tank Cover Locking Device - AMS-4142901

It's a pressure-assist tank. Inside the china tank is a sealed vessel that uses line water pressure to force the flush, rather than relying on gravity head like a standard tank. Flush volume is 1.1 gpf / 4.2 Lpf. Pressure-assist is what most commercial and multi-family specs call for when drainline carry and clog complaints are the issue; if the building runs low static pressure, a gravity tank is the safer choice.

No. A pressure-assist tank only works on a bowl engineered for pressure-assist flushing, and the two-bolt or three-bolt spud pattern has to match. Do not put this on a gravity bowl. The reliable way to buy it is to read the model number off the underside of the lid or the inside back wall of the tank you're replacing and match the tank to that bowl.

Yes, the TCLD tank cover locking device is included. That's the part facility and correctional or high-traffic public restroom specs ask for, because it keeps the lid from being lifted and the flush valve tampered with. Coupling components to join the tank to the bowl are in the carton as well.

Coupling components are included, so the hardware that joins tank to bowl comes with it. What is not in the box is the bowl itself, the supply line, or the closet flange hardware. This is a tank only, sold as a replacement or to pair with a matching pressure-assist bowl.

At 1.1 gpf / 4.2 Lpf, this tank flushes well under the 1.6 gpf federal maximum and below the 1.28 gpf threshold generally used for high-efficiency toilets. For property managers running water-use retrofits across a portfolio, that's the number to put on the rebate paperwork, and the pressure-assist flush is what keeps bowl clearance up at that low a volume.

White only, MPN 4142901.02. If the rest of the fixtures in the building are bone or linen, this tank won't match them.
