American Standard 268008.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What faucet drilling does the American Standard Ravenna pedestal sink top take?
The Ravenna top is drilled for an 8-inch widespread faucet, so you need a three-hole widespread set with separate hot and cold handles. A single-hole or 4-inch centerset faucet will not cover or line up with the drillings.
2) How much wall and floor space do I need for the Ravenna pedestal lavatory?
Nominal top dimensions are 24-1/4 inches by 20 inches (616 x 508 mm), so plan for roughly a 25-inch wide alcove or wall run plus clearance for the faucet handles. The bowl inside measures 19-3/8 inches wide, 12 inches front to back and 6 inches deep.
3) Does the Ravenna 268008 come with the pedestal leg?
No. The 268008 is the sink top only, sold on its own. You order the matching Ravenna pedestal separately, along with the faucet and drain, which are never included with a china lavatory top.
4) What hardware is supplied for mounting the Ravenna sink top to the wall?
A mounting kit ships with the top. The pedestal carries part of the load but the china still has to be anchored at the wall, so you need solid backing or blocking in the stud bay behind the fixture before you set it.
5) Does this pedestal sink have an overflow?
The Ravenna top has a rear overflow, so it takes a standard lavatory drain with overflow ports (a grid drain without overflow openings would block it). That matters for bathrooms where a code official or spec calls for an overflow on the lavatory.
6) Is there anywhere to set soap and a towel on this pedestal sink?
Yes. The Ravenna top has a faucet ledge with a generous shelf area and a separate soap/accessory ledge. An integral mounted towel bar is also offered for it and is ordered separately.
