American Standard Reliant Oval Drop-In Bathroom Sink, 8 in. Widespread Holes - AMS-475220

It drops in from above. The Reliant 475220 is self rimming with a tapered edge, so the rim sits on top of the countertop and carries the weight of the bowl. That means it works on laminate, solid surface, or stone tops without needing undermount clips or an edge polished cutout. If the countertop is already cut for an undermount bowl, this is the wrong style of sink for that opening.

An installation template ships with the sink, so the counter fabricator or installer has the cutout profile in the box. Cut to that template rather than tracing the bowl, since the tapered self rimming edge needs the opening sized to sit under the rim.

It is American Standard part 475220.02, the Reliant oval drop-in lavatory with 8 inch widespread holes. The .02 suffix is White, and White is the color this bowl is offered in. Use 475220.02 when you are matching bowls across a building or ordering replacements for a turnover.

It is vitreous chinaware with a high gloss surface, which wipes down with ordinary cleaners and does not need a sealer the way a stone or composite bowl might. For a property manager standardizing units, the oval drop-in in White is the common denominator: it fits any existing top cut to the same template and matches the rest of a white fixture package.
