American Standard Retrospect Pedestal Leg - AMS-66000

The Retrospect pedestal leg, model 66000.02 in white, is the pedestal column on its own. It is part of the design-matched Retrospect Collection, so the basin that sits on it is ordered as its own item. If you are replacing a cracked pedestal under an existing Retrospect lavatory, this is the piece you want; if you are building the fixture from scratch, you need the matching basin too.

Plan the rough-in around nominal dimensions of 27 x 19-3/4 x 36 inches (686 x 502 x 914 mm) for the assembled fixture. That 36 inch figure is the Right Height design, which puts the rim higher than a traditional pedestal lavatory for easier use standing. Check your supply and drain stub-outs fall behind the pedestal column so the trap stays hidden.

It is fine fireclay, a dense vitreous ceramic that takes a hard glazed surface and cleans up with standard restroom chemicals. That makes it a reasonable pick for light commercial and hospitality washrooms where the look matters. For a high-abuse public restroom, most specifiers still go to a wall-hung vitreous china lavatory instead, since a pedestal column can be knocked loose.

A pedestal like the Retrospect hides the trap and supplies behind a fireclay column and sets the bowl at a fixed 36 inch nominal height, so it works where you want a period look and have a floor that can carry it. A wall-hung lavatory lets you set the rim height yourself, leaves the floor clear for cleaning, and is usually the ADA-friendlier route since knee clearance is open. Pedestals also need the drain and stops positioned tight to the wall centerline so the column can cover them.

White only, ordered as 66000.02. If you are matching a Retrospect basin, toilet, or other fixtures already installed in the building, the white glaze is the standard Retrospect color so it will line up across the collection.
