American Standard 39000.02 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the American Standard Edgemere pedestal leg come with the lavatory sink, or is it sold separately?
The Edgemere pedestal leg, part number 39000.02, is the leg only. The lavatory basin is a separate purchase, so if you're building a complete pedestal sink you'll need to order the matching Edgemere lavatory alongside it.
2) Will this pedestal leg fit a lavatory from another American Standard collection?
It's built to the Edgemere collection's design and is intended to pair with the Edgemere lavatory. Pedestal legs are matched to a specific basin's underside contour and mounting, so treat this one as an Edgemere part rather than a universal column.
3) I'm replacing a cracked pedestal on an Edgemere sink. Can I buy just the leg?
Yes, that's exactly what 39000.02 is. It's the pedestal column sold on its own in white, so a broken or chipped leg can be swapped without replacing the basin above it.
4) What color does the Edgemere pedestal leg come in?
White is the only finish offered on the 39000 pedestal leg. If the rest of your Edgemere suite is white, it matches; there's no bisque or linen option on this part.
5) What is the American Standard Edgemere pedestal leg made of?
Fine fireclay. That's a vitrified ceramic body, the same material family used for the coordinating Edgemere lavatory, so the leg and basin read as one piece rather than a ceramic bowl on a painted or plastic column.
6) Does the Edgemere pedestal leg include the faucet or drain?
No. It's a pedestal column only. The faucet, drain assembly, P-trap, and supply stops are all separate items, and the trap and supplies are what the leg is meant to conceal once the sink is set.
