American Standard 047068-0070A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I need this strainer or a new flush valve if my Selectronic urinal is not draining?
Two different parts. This is the stainless strainer at the bowl outlet, which is what you replace when the screen is missing, damaged or scaled over and debris is reaching the trap. The Selectronic sensor flush valve and the 1/2 inch (13mm) supply feeding it are separate items; if the fixture is flushing weakly or not sensing, the strainer is not the fix. The Innsbrook flushes 0.5 gpf through an integral washout rim, so a blocked or absent strainer shows up as slow drainage, not as a flush fault.
2) Will this strainer work in a floor-mount or trough urinal?
No. It is cut for the wall hung Selectronic Innsbrook, the elongated bowl with a 14 inch (356mm) rim projection from the finish wall and two wall hangers. A floor mount, trough or another manufacturer's bowl uses a different outlet pattern, and this strainer will not seat in it. Match the strainer to the Innsbrook body you actually have on the wall.
3) What finish does the American Standard Innsbrook urinal strainer come in?
One version only, bare stainless steel, with no plated or coated finish option. So there is nothing to match to the trim on the rest of the washroom and nothing to specify when ordering; a stainless strainer reads the same in every Innsbrook urinal you drop it into.
