American Standard 770259-100.0070A – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What comes in the American Standard 770259-100 towel bar mounting kit?
It is a mounting hardware kit containing a set of 4 screws for securing an American Standard towel bar. No bar, posts, or anchors are part of it, so if the wall needs drywall anchors or the towel bar itself is damaged, those are separate purchases.
2) I manage apartments and lost the screws for an American Standard towel bar. Is this the right replacement part?
Yes, if the bar is American Standard. Part 770259-100 is the factory replacement screw set for American Standard towel bars, sold as four screws. For a fleet of units, order by the American Standard part number rather than matching screws at the hardware store, since the post castings are drilled for this specific hardware.
3) Can I use this American Standard mounting kit for a grab bar or toilet paper holder?
No. This is the towel bar mounting kit, not grab bar anchorage. Grab bars carry load and require their own rated fasteners and blocking. Use this kit only where a towel bar's original screws are missing or stripped.
4) Is there a finish choice on the American Standard 770259-100 towel bar screw kit?
There is one version only, listed as NO FINISH, ordered under part number 770259-100.0070A. The screws are concealed by the towel bar posts once installed, so finish matching is not a factor.
