Blanco 224390 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the Blanco 224390 glass cutting board?
The Blanco 224390 board measures 10.63 inches by 17.63 inches. That footprint is what determines whether it will straddle your sink ledge, so measure the ledge-to-ledge opening on your Blanco sink before ordering.
2) Will this Blanco cutting board fit any sink, or only certain Blanco models?
It is a custom-fit accessory sized to sit on a Blanco sink ledge, not a universal board. At 10.63 by 17.63 inches it slides along the ledge of the sink it was designed for. On a non-Blanco sink or a Blanco model with a different opening, it will not seat properly, so match the 10.63 x 17.63 inch footprint to your sink's ledge span.
3) Can this board be used on a countertop as well as over the sink?
Yes. The 224390 has non-slip protective feet, so it can be set directly on a counter without sliding or scuffing the surface, then moved back over the sink ledge for prep and rinsing.
4) Is this a glass board or a sink grid? What exactly am I buying?
It is a safety glass cutting board that rests on the sink ledge, not a wire bottom grid or a strainer basket. One piece of glass, clear finish, part number 224390.
5) Is the Blanco glass cutting board dishwasher safe and food safe for commercial kitchen use?
The board is food safe and dishwasher safe, and the glass is heat resistant and impervious to water, so it will not absorb liquids or stain the way wood does. That makes it straightforward to sanitize between uses.
6) What finish does the Blanco 224390 come in?
Clear only. The 224390 is offered in a single clear safety glass version, so there is no color or pattern choice to specify when ordering.
7) Can I cut directly on the glass, or is this just a cover for the sink?
It is built as a working cutting surface, not just a sink cover. You slice on it, and because the glass is nonporous and water resistant you can prep right over the bowl and rinse off. It also slides along the ledge so you can shift it to expose the bowl while you work.
