Blanco 235968 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Blanco sink does the 235968 grid fit?
The Blanco 235968 grid is custom-fitted to the QUATRUS 32 inch single bowl kitchen sinks. It is cut to that specific bowl, so it won't sit correctly in a different Blanco series or a generic 32 inch bowl. If your bowl is a different Quatrus size or another Blanco line, you need the grid built for that model instead.
2) Will this sink grid block access to my drain?
No. The grid has a rear drain opening, so it clears the drain rather than covering it. That also means it is oriented, the cutout has to go to the back of the bowl where a rear-set Quatrus drain sits.
3) Will a stainless grid scratch the bottom of the sink bowl?
The 235968 grid rides on non-skid protective feet with side bumpers, so the stainless frame does not sit metal-to-metal against the bowl. The feet also keep it from sliding when you drop a pan in, and the bumpers protect the bowl walls.
4) Is the drain assembly or strainer included with this Blanco grid?
No. The 235968 is the bottom grid only, a stainless basin rack that drops into the bowl. Drain assemblies, colanders, cutting boards and floating grids are separate Blanco accessories.
5) Do dishes still drain properly with a grid in the bottom of the sink?
Yes. The grid stands off the bowl floor so water passes underneath and runs to the drain. That is why it works as an in-sink drying rack for glassware, plates and utensils as well as a bowl protector.
6) Is the Blanco 235968 grid dishwasher safe, and will it rust?
It is dishwasher safe and made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, so it can go through a normal wash cycle when it gets greasy rather than being scrubbed in place.
7) What finish does the Blanco Quatrus sink grid come in?
Stainless steel is the only finish for the 235968 grid, which is the match for a stainless Quatrus bowl. There is no coated or color-matched version of this part number.
