Bobrick 35639 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the Bobrick B-35639 be recessed instead of surface mounted?
Yes. It ships as a surface-mounted unit, but the skirt is removable in the field, which lets you set it into a wall recess instead. Plan the rough opening around the 14-3/16 by 28-3/16 inch cabinet and the 4-1/2 inch depth.
2) Can the B-35639 be keyed to match the other Bobrick dispensers in my building?
Yes. The door uses a flush tumbler lock keyed like other Bobrick washroom accessories, so one key services the paper dispensers, seat cover dispensers and this receptacle across a facility. That matters if you are standardizing a portfolio of restrooms on a single key.
3) How much waste does the B-35639 bin hold, and is it enough for a busy restroom?
The removable bin holds 3 gallons (11.3 L) and is heavy-gauge stainless steel. That is a single-fixture or low-traffic sizing. For high-volume restrooms in schools, stadiums or airports, plan on more frequent servicing or a larger free-standing receptacle.
4) What keeps the service door from being torn off in a public restroom?
The door hangs on a concealed, full-length stainless steel piano hinge and carries a cable door-swing limiter, so it cannot be swung past its stop or pried at a short hinge. The cabinet itself is all-welded stainless steel with a satin finish.
5) What does the disposal door on the B-35639 actually do?
A self-closing panel covers the disposal opening, so waste drops in and the opening shuts behind it. That keeps contents out of sight and contains odor, which is why this configuration gets specified for sanitary napkin and general waste disposal in public toilet rooms.
6) What finish does the Bobrick B-35639 come in?
Satin-finish stainless steel is the only finish offered on the B-35639. It matches the satin stainless look of standard Bobrick washroom accessories, so it blends with grab bars, mirrors and dispensers already in the room.
