1) Can the B-43949 be installed on a solid wall without cutting into it?
Yes. The B-43949 is a surface-mounted unit with a mounting skirt, so it fastens to the wall face and needs no wall cavity or recess. That makes it workable on block, tile over masonry, or existing finished walls where a recessed cabinet would mean demolition.
2) What kind of paper towels does the Bobrick B-43949 take, and how many?
It dispenses folded towels only, not roll: 600 C-fold or 800 multifold per fill. If your facility standardized on roll towel, this is the wrong unit. The TowelMate insert is included, which feeds the stack one towel at a time to cut waste.

6) Is the towel side of the B-43949 locked against pilferage?
Yes, the door uses a flush tumbler lock, so towel stock is secured and only keyed staff open it for refills. That is the usual requirement in high traffic public washrooms, schools, and transit facilities.
7) I have older Bobrick units installed. Can I add TowelMate or LinerMate to them?
Bobrick offers retrofit accessories for that. TowelMate units built before April 2010 and LinerMate units before December 2009 can be updated using the accessory retrofit options for the series rather than replacing the whole cabinet.
8) Is this dispenser manual or touch-free?
Manual. Towels are pulled by hand from the TowelMate feed, so there is no power, no battery, and no sensor to maintain. If a touch-free specification is on your drawings, this unit will not satisfy it.
