Bobrick 380349 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Bobrick B-380349 mount on the wall surface or does it need a recessed wall cavity?
The B-380349 is a surface-mounted unit. It hangs on the finished wall and includes a skirt for surface mounting, and the door has a 90 degree return that conceals the mounting flange, so no wall cavity or chase is required. That makes it the choice for block, tile, or existing walls where you cannot cut in a recessed cabinet.
2) Will a Bobrick B-380349 work with the C-fold towels we already buy, or do we have to switch to multifold?
Either one works. The B-380349 dispenses both C-fold and multifold towels, holding 600 C-fold or 800 multifold per fill, so you can keep your existing paper contract. The built-in TowelMate insert is what handles both folds without jamming or over-dispensing.
3) Is the Bobrick B-380349 ADA compliant for a public restroom?
Bobrick lists the B-380349 as ADA compliant. Compliance still depends on how you hang it, so set the towel opening and waste opening within the reach ranges for the fixture group it serves, and keep the 4-5/8 inch projection in mind where it sits along an accessible route.
4) How big is the trash side, and how often will housekeeping have to empty it?
The waste container holds 3.8 gallons (14.4 liters) and lifts out as a separate removable, leak-proof liner. That is a modest capacity, sized for a one or two fixture restroom or an office suite. In a high-traffic public restroom expect daily or more frequent service, or pair the run with a separate floor-standing receptacle.
5) Can the B-380349 be locked so the public cannot pull the whole stack of towels?
The cabinet uses flush locks, so the door secures shut and only staff with the key open it to refill towels or pull the waste container. The flush design keeps nothing protruding for someone to catch a hand or a cart on.
6) What finishes does the Bobrick B-380349 come in?
Two: satin stainless steel and matte black. The satin stainless is the standard spec for schools, healthcare, and high-traffic public washrooms because scratches and fingerprints blend into the grain. Matte black is the pick when you are matching dark faucets and trim in a hospitality or corporate washroom. Both are the same stainless cabinet.
7) Is the B-380349 manual or does it need power?
Manual operation, no power and no batteries. The user pulls a towel from the TowelMate insert, so there is no electrical rough-in to coordinate and nothing to fail on a battery change schedule.
