The B-3888 is listed as ADA compliant. As with any tissue dispenser, compliance in the field still depends on where you set it: mounting height and the horizontal distance from the rear wall to the dispenser are set by the installer, not the unit.

Two standard rolls, each up to 5-1/4 inch (133mm) diameter, roughly 1800 sheets total. It is a reserve-roll design: when the bottom roll runs out the spare drops into dispensing position on its own, so a housekeeping round can skip a stall without a complaint following. Check your consumable spec, because jumbo tissue rolls exceed 5-1/4 inches and will not load.

Yes. The door carries a protruding tumbler lock, and the spindles are theft-resistant heavy-duty type, so rolls cannot be pulled out without opening the door. That combination is what makes it suitable for high-traffic public and institutional washrooms rather than open-shelf areas.

Recessed is the choice when you want the dispenser largely out of the traffic path and are building or gutting the wall anyway, since the B-3888 needs 5-15/16 inches of depth behind the face and only projects 2-3/4 inches into the stall. If the wall is solid masonry, already finished, or a partition you cannot cut, go surface-mounted instead. Retrofitting a recess into finished tile is usually more labor than the unit costs.

Stainless steel throughout, including the dispensing mechanism, in a satin finish. Satin stainless hides fingerprints and water spotting far better than polished, which is why it is the standard specification for commercial and multi-family washrooms. Wipe it down rather than using abrasive pads, which will scratch the grain.
