1) What supply connections does the TOTO Connelly TL221DD faucet use, and do I need supply hoses?
The valves take 1/2 NPSM connections. Water supply hoses are not in the box, so order them with the faucet, sized to reach from your angle stops to the valve bodies. What does ship with it: the spout, both handles, hot and cold valves, the valve-to-spout hoses, and the metal pop-up drain with rod.
2) Which GPM should I order on the TOTO Connelly, 1.5 or 1.2?
Both flow rates are offered on the TL221DD, in either Brushed Nickel or Polished Chrome. Order 1.5 GPM (TL221DD#BN or TL221DD#CP) for general residential and commercial lavatory use. Order 1.2 GPM (TL221DD12#BN or TL221DD12#CP) where a project or local water-conservation spec caps lavatory flow below 1.5, which is common on California and Colorado jobs and on green building submittals. Same faucet body, same aerated spray; the difference is the aerator flow.
3) Is the TOTO Connelly faucet ADA compliant for a commercial restroom?
It is ADA compliant, and the lever handles are why: levers operate with a closed fist, no tight grasping or wrist twisting. That makes it usable on public and multi-family restroom lavatories where hardware has to meet accessible operation requirements.
4) How far does the TOTO Connelly spout reach, and will it clear a vessel or deep basin?
Reach is 5.69 inches with a spout height of 2.94 inches. That is a low-profile deck spout sized for a standard drop-in or undermount lavatory bowl. It is not a vessel faucet, so if your basin sits on top of the counter the spout will land below the rim and you want a tall vessel-height faucet instead.
5) Will a widespread faucet like the Connelly work if my sink is drilled for a centerset?
Not directly. The Connelly needs three holes and spreads 6 to 12 inches between the outer holes. A centerset lavatory drilled on 4 inch centers, or a single-hole basin, will not take it without redrilling or a new top. For a 4 inch drilled deck you want a centerset or single-hole faucet; the widespread is for decks with three separated holes or an undermount installation drilled to your layout.
6) Can the Connelly widespread faucet mount on a thick stone or quartz countertop?
Up to 1.75 inches of deck. That covers 3cm stone with a normal buildup, and most solid surface and quartz tops. Past 1.75 inches the mounting shanks run out of thread. Measure the full stack, counter plus any plywood substrate or sink rim the shank has to pass through, not just the slab.
7) Do I need to buy a separate pop-up drain assembly with the Connelly faucet?
No, the metal pop-up drain and lift rod come with the faucet. That covers the drain body and the linkage; a P-trap and tailpiece extension are still a separate lavatory rough-in item, as with any sink faucet.
8) Does the Connelly widespread faucet qualify for WaterSense on a LEED or green building submittal?
