TOTO THU6445#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU6445#12 bowl screw cap cover, and what does it do on a toilet?
It's the trim cap that snaps over the bolt head where the toilet bowl is fastened down, hiding the hardware at the base. TOTO part THU6445#12, and it ships as a pair (two caps), which covers both sides of a bowl in one order.
2) I'm resetting a TOTO toilet on a new wax ring. Does the THU6445#12 include the bolts?
No. THU6445#12 is the cap cover only, two of them. The closet bolts, washers, nuts, and wax ring are separate items, so if you're doing a full reset plan on ordering those alongside the caps.
3) Do I get one cap or two when I order TOTO THU6445#12?
Two. The THU6445#12 is sold as a pair of bowl screw cap covers, so one order handles both bolt locations on the bowl rather than needing two line items.
4) My property has several TOTO toilets with missing base caps. Can I stock this part for all of them?
TOTO trim caps are model-specific to the bowl they were tooled for, so THU6445#12 matches the TOTO bowls that call out this part number. For a mixed fleet, pull the model number off each toilet and match the cap part number to it rather than assuming one cap covers every unit in the building.
