1) Will the TOTO CT725 flushometer toilet work with a 10 inch rough-in, or do I need 12 inches?
Either one. The TORNADO FLUSH elongated flushometer bowl installs in 10 to 12 inch rough-in openings, so it drops into older 10 inch waste lines as well as standard 12 inch commercial layouts. That range is one of the reasons it works for renovation work where you cannot move the closet flange.
2) Does the TOTO flushometer toilet come with the flush valve?
No. The bowl ships with the bowl and bolt caps only, and the flushometer valve is a separate purchase. Order a valve rated at 1.0, 1.28 or 1.6 GPF; TOTO engineers this bowl around their ECOPOWER flush valve, but any flushometer at those flush volumes is what the bowl is built for. Budget the valve, the spud connection and the supply into the job, not just the fixture.
3) Is the TOTO CT725 toilet ADA compliant for a public restroom?
No. This is a Standard Height bowl and it is not ADA compliant, so it will not satisfy an accessible stall. The floor-mounted CT725 sits at a 15 inch rim height, below the range an accessible fixture needs. Use it for the standard stalls and specify a separate ADA height bowl for the accessible ones.
4) What is the difference between the TOTO CT725 and CT728 flushometer bowls?
Mounting. The CT725 is the floor-mounted bowl and the CT728 is the wall-hung version, which needs a carrier in the chase behind it. Both are elongated TORNADO FLUSH bowls in Cotton White. Floor mount is the simpler install on a slab; wall hung buys you a clear floor under the fixture, which is what maintenance crews want in high-traffic restrooms because they can mop straight through.
5) How much space do I need for the TOTO CT725 elongated bowl?
Plan on 25-1/4 inches of projection off the wall and 14 inches of width for the floor-mounted CT725.
