TOTO THP4578#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THP4578 and what does it do?
THP4578 is a TOTO shower or bath elbow supplied with its set screw, a replacement plumbing part rather than a complete trim kit. The elbow is the fitting the hose or arm connects to, and the set screw is what locks it in place. It is sold as a single part, so if your repair also needs a hose, handshower, or escutcheon, those are ordered separately.
2) What finish does TOTO THP4578#CP come in?
One finish only. The #CP suffix on a TOTO part number is polished chrome, so THP4578#CP will match chrome shower trim. If the rest of your valve trim is brushed nickel or another TOTO finish, this chrome elbow will not blend in and you would want the same base part number in the matching finish suffix.
3) Is the set screw included with the TOTO THP4578 elbow or do I order it separately?
It is included. The part ships as an elbow with set screw, which is why it is catalogued as a fastener-type replacement part. You do not need to source the screw on its own for this repair.
