The TOTO T40 WASHLET+® EP Wall-Hung Elongated Toilet with C2 WASHLET Bidet Seat and DuoFit® In-Wall 1.28 and 0.9 GPF Dual-Flush Tank System delivers style with innovative performance. WASHLET+ toilets are designed to conceal the WASHLET power cord and water supply hose for a seamless installation. Part of the newly redesigned C Series, the WASHLET C2 features a soft rear spray, rear cleanse, and front cleanse with the option of an oscillating stream. The temperature and pressure of the water are adjustable with three temperature settings and five pressure settings. The controls are located on a convenient arm control panel. PREMIST® wets the surface of the toilet bowl, aiding in the removal of waste and resulting in a better clean. The C2 model utilizes TOTO's EWATER+® system when the wand self-cleans. EWATER+ transforms the water into a safe and powerful compound, creating peace of mind by cleaning the inside and outside of the wand before and after every use. The WASHLET features a heated SoftClose® seat with three temperature settings. The DuoFit® tank provides a WaterSense® certified dual-flush option with TOTO’s DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH. This hole-free rim design generates a centrifugal, cyclonic rinsing action and allows you to proactively conserve water by choosing between a 0.8 GPF rinse or 1.28 GPF for tougher jobs. The skirted design of the EP bowl conceals the trEPway, which enhances the elegant look of the toilet and adds an additional level of sophistication. This wall hung toilet bowl also features TOTO's CEFIONTECT glaze that minimizes waste from sticking to the ceramic. This feature, coupled with the DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH, assists to reduce the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the usage of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning. The DuoFit® harness allows you to select a mounting height of 15 to 19 inches. This provides the opportunity for you to establish a comfortable bowl height for a wide array of individuals. The in-wall unit can support up to 880lbs when installed properly. The kit arrives ready to be installed within a 2” x 6” stud setting with a 2" x 6" polyethylene waste outlet. If you require installation within a 2” x 4” setting, you can purchase TOTO’s 2” x 4” PVC outlet kit (THU343). Includes: EP WASHLET+ toilet bowl, C2 WASHLET+, DuoFit in-wall Tank with copper supply, silver push plate, WASHLET Connection Kit, and mounting hardware. Compatible with T40 WASHLET+ electronic bidet seat and toilet bowl components only.

TOTO CWT4283074CMFG#MS – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What bowl height can I set with the TOTO EP wall-hung toilet?
The DuoFit harness lets you set the rim anywhere from 15 to 19 inches, so you can dial in a comfort height or a lower seat depending on who uses the room. Note that the toilet is not ADA compliant as listed, so if you are working to an ADA spec for a public or commercial restroom, this is not the fixture to specify.
2) What comes in the box with the TOTO EP WASHLET+ kit, and what do I still have to buy?
It is a complete kit: the wall-hung EP elongated bowl, the DuoFit in-wall tank with copper supply, the silver dual-flush push plate, the WASHLET bidet seat, the WASHLET connection kit, and mounting hardware. The components ship as CT428CFGT40#01 bowl, WT173M tank, SW3074T40#01 washlet, YT930#MS push plate, and THU805 connection kit. What you supply on site is the wall framing, the carrier anchoring, the finished wall surface, and a GFCI receptacle inside the wall for the WASHLET, since the power cord is concealed by design.
3) Does this TOTO wall-hung toilet meet California water efficiency rules?
Yes. The EP WASHLET+ with DuoFit tank is WaterSense certified and listed as both CALGreen and CEC compliant, flushing 1.28 GPF on the full flush and 0.9 GPF on the reduced flush from a wall push button. That dual-flush setup is what gets it inside California's water use limits for new work and multi-family retrofits.
4) Can I replace my floor-mounted toilet with the TOTO EP wall-hung unit without opening the wall?
No. This is a wall mount, back outlet fixture with the tank and carrier buried in the wall, so the swap means opening the wall, framing for the carrier, and rerouting the waste to a back outlet instead of a floor flange. Plan it as a demo job, not a fixture change. The payoff is about 9 inches of floor space reclaimed versus a standard floor-mounted toilet.
5) Can I use a different brand or older TOTO bidet seat on this EP bowl?
No. The EP WASHLET+ bowl is compatible with T40 WASHLET+ electronic bidet seats and T40 toilet bowl components only. The whole point of the WASHLET+ design is that the power cord and water supply hose route through the bowl skirt and stay hidden, and a non-T40 seat will not land on those connections. If you want a different seat later, stay inside the T40 WASHLET+ family.
6) What is the difference between the C2 and C5 WASHLET on the TOTO EP wall-hung toilet?
Both bidet seat options mount to the same EP bowl and the same DuoFit in-wall tank, and both are ordered with the matte silver push plate. The C2 build is MPN CWT4283074CMFG#MS and the C5 build is CWT4283084CMFG#MS. The C2 seat is the one described in detail here: soft rear spray, rear and front cleanse with an oscillating option, three water temperature settings, five pressure settings, heated SoftClose seat with three temperature settings, air deodorizer, warm air dryer, PREMIST, and EWATER+ wand self-cleaning. Choose by the seat feature set you want, since the rough-in and bowl do not change between them.
7) What are the overall dimensions of the TOTO EP WASHLET+ toilet system?
The system measures 50.375 x 21.25 x 22.87 inches overall, which includes the in-wall tank assembly, so the height figure is the carrier stack rather than the finished bowl height. The bowl itself sits at whatever you set between 15 and 19 inches on the DuoFit harness. The bowl is elongated, with a 2-1/8 inch trapway and a 2 inch flush valve.
8) Does the TOTO EP WASHLET+ toilet flush during a power outage?
Yes on the flush. The DuoFit tank is a gravity dual-flush tank operated by a mechanical wall push button, so flushing does not depend on power. The WASHLET bidet functions (warm water wash, heated seat, dryer, EWATER+) are electric and stop when the power drops. Batteries are included with the unit, alkaline type.
9) Will this toilet hold up in a high-traffic hotel or multi-family bathroom with less cleaning?
The rim is hole-free and uses DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH, a cyclonic rinse, paired with TOTO's CEFIONTECT glaze that keeps waste from sticking to the ceramic. Together those cut how often housekeeping has to scrub the bowl and how much chemical goes into it. PREMIST also wets the bowl before each use. One caution for spec work: the unit is not ADA compliant, so it will not serve accessible stalls or units.
10) Is the water supply line to this TOTO in-wall tank plastic or copper?
Copper. The DuoFit in-wall tank ships with a copper supply, which matters because the supply connection sits inside the finished wall where you will not want to go back in for a failed flexible line.
