The TOTO SP Wall-Hung Square Shape Dual Flush 1.28 and 0.9 GPF Toilet with CEFIONTECT opens up bathroom space, delivering style and innovative performance. The unique square shape front bowl adds a contemporary and clean look that transforms any bathroom into a modern paradise. The skirted design of the SP bowl conceals the trapway, which enhances the elegant look of the toilet and adds an additional level of sophistication. Skirted design toilets also eliminate the need to reach behind the bowl to clean the nooks and crannies of the exterior trapway, and the wall mount position saves up to 9 inches of floor space compared to standard floor-mounted toilets. The SP bowl features TOTO's DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH system, a hole-free rim design featuring three powerful nozzles that generate a centrifugal, cyclonic rinsing action with the option of 0.9 or 1.28 gallons of water. This wall hung toilet bowl also features TOTO's CEFIONTECT glaze that minimizes waste from sticking to the ceramic. This feature, coupled with the DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH reduces the frequency of toilet cleanings and minimizes the usage of water and harsh chemicals required for cleaning. Includes SP toilet bowl only. The SP Wall-Hung Bowl is designed for best results when used with the TOTO DuoFit WT172M In-Wall Tank System. TOTO SS249 Square Slim SoftClose seat required and sold separately.

TOTO CT449CFG#01 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the TOTO SP wall-hung toilet come with a tank, or do I need to buy the in-wall carrier separately?
Depends which configuration you order. The SP is sold as a bowl only, as a complete wall hung toilet, and as a wall hung toilet with a Washlet. If you order the bowl only, you still need the TOTO DuoFit WT172M in-wall tank system, which is what the SP bowl is designed around, plus the TOTO SS249 Square Slim SoftClose seat. Neither of those is in the bowl-only box.
2) Is the TOTO SP wall-hung toilet ADA compliant for a commercial restroom?
Yes, the SP is listed as ADA compliant. It is also WaterSense certified and meets CALGreen and CEC requirements, which is what you need on California work and on most green building specs.
3) What is the rough-in outlet type on the TOTO SP wall-hung bowl?
Back outlet, wall mount. The waste leaves horizontally through the wall into the carrier, not down through the floor, with a 2-1/8 inch trapway. If your building has a floor-outlet rough-in already in place, this bowl will not drop onto it without opening the wall and setting a carrier.
4) Will the square TOTO SP bowl take a standard elongated toilet seat?
No. The SP has a square-shape front bowl, and a conventional round or elongated seat will not match the rim. TOTO makes the SS249 Square Slim SoftClose seat for it, or you can order the SP in a Washlet configuration with the SW or SX bidet seat.
5) How much floor space do I actually gain going wall-hung with the TOTO SP instead of a floor mount toilet?
Up to 9 inches of floor space compared with a standard floor-mounted toilet. The bowl itself is 22-7/8 inches long by 15 inches wide by 13-1/8 inches high and weighs 68 pounds, and because the carrier is in the wall the finished height is set by where you hang it, not by the fixture. That is the main reason the SP gets specified in tight commercial and multi-family restrooms.
6) How much water does the TOTO SP wall-hung toilet use per flush?
It is a dual flush, 1.28 GPF full flush and 0.9 GPF reduced flush, and it is WaterSense certified at those volumes. TOTO's DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH uses a hole-free rim with three nozzles to make the lower volume work. Two flush options are offered on the SP, standard dual flush and auto dual flush, so pick the auto version if you want touchless operation in a public restroom.
7) Where do I find the rough-in dimensions for the TOTO SP wall-hung toilet before I frame the wall?
TOTO publishes a spec sheet per configuration, and ZenSupply carries the PDFs for models CWT4494049CMFG#MS, CWT4494049CMFGA#MS, and CWT4494549CMFGA#MS. Pull the one matching the exact model you are ordering before the carrier goes in, since the overall assembled heights differ between configurations even though the bowl is the same.
8) What colors does the TOTO SP wall-hung toilet come in?
Three finishes: Cotton White, Matte Silver, and White Matte. Cotton White is TOTO's standard gloss white and will match existing TOTO fixtures on a facility standard; the two matte options are a different surface and will read differently next to gloss white lavatories, so avoid mixing them across the same restroom.
9) Is the TOTO SP bowl easier to clean than a standard two-piece toilet?
Two things help on a cleaning route. The skirted design encloses the trapway, so there is no ribbed exterior to reach behind and scrub. And the CEFIONTECT glaze is a very smooth ceramic surface that keeps waste from clinging, which paired with the tornado flush cuts how often crews need to go at it with chemicals. For a property manager running multiple restrooms, that is the practical argument for this bowl over an exposed-trapway fixture.
