TOTO THU9498 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THU9498 part?
THU9498 is the left louver, or grille cover, for the TOTO G500 ventilation fan. It is a replacement cover panel, not the fan motor or housing, so it only helps if the louver itself is damaged, discolored, or missing.
2) Will the TOTO left louver THU9498 fit a different TOTO fan model?
It is specified for the G500 only. TOTO publishes louvers per fan series, so a cover from another series will not index into the G500 housing and the G500 louver will not fit another model. Match the fan's model designation to G500 before ordering THU9498.
3) I manage apartments and the bathroom fan grille is cracked. Do I have to replace the whole fan?
Not if the fan itself still runs. The louver is sold as a standalone service part, so a cracked or stained left-side cover on a TOTO G500 can be swapped out on its own using THU9498. That keeps the existing housing, wiring, and duct connection untouched, which is the faster turn on an occupied unit.
4) Does the THU9498 louver include the fan motor, grille screws, or any other parts?
It is the left louver alone. No motor, blower assembly, or housing comes with it, and any mounting hardware that is reused should come from the fan you are servicing. Order it only as a cover replacement for the TOTO G500.
5) Is there only one version of the TOTO THU9498 G500 louver to choose from?
One. THU9498 is a single part number with no finish or size options to specify, so there is nothing to configure on the order beyond quantity.
