TOTO THU6715 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU6715 and what part of the toilet does it go on?
THU6715 is a lid and seat bumper assembly for TOTO toilets. The bumpers are the small cushions that the tank lid and the seat rest against, so the porcelain and the seat do not sit hard on the china. It is a replacement part for a toilet, not a complete seat or lid.
2) Does the TOTO THU6715 bumper assembly include the tank lid or the toilet seat itself?
No. THU6715 is the bumper assembly only. If the tank lid is cracked or the seat is broken, you need the lid or seat as its own part; the bumpers just replace the worn or missing cushions those pieces sit on.
3) My TOTO tank lid rattles and slides around. Is a bumper kit the fix?
Usually yes. A rattling or shifting tank lid is the classic sign the original bumpers have hardened, flattened, or fallen off. The THU6715 lid and seat bumper assembly replaces them so the lid seats quietly and stays put. It is a low cost fix before assuming the lid or tank needs replacing.
4) Can a property manager use the THU6715 bumpers on any brand of toilet?
Treat it as a TOTO part. The THU6715 bumper assembly is a TOTO repair part sold for TOTO toilets, and bumper size, stud pattern, and seating position vary by maker and model. Match it to the TOTO model number stamped inside the tank or under the lid before buying for a fleet of units.
5) How is the THU6715 bumper assembly ordered, and are there finish or size choices?
There is a single configuration, ordered by the manufacturer part number THU6715. No size or finish selection is involved, so the only thing to confirm is that it is the correct bumper set for your TOTO toilet model.
