TOTO THU6716 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THU6716 part?
THU6716 is TOTO's lid and seat bumper assembly, the small bumper set that cushions the toilet tank lid and seat against the china. It is a replacement part for TOTO toilets, not a complete seat or tank lid.
2) Does the TOTO THU6716 include a toilet seat or tank lid?
No. THU6716 is the bumper assembly only. If the lid itself is cracked or the seat is damaged, you need the lid or seat for your specific TOTO model, not this part.
3) Will the THU6716 bumper assembly stop my TOTO tank lid from rattling?
That is what it is for. The bumpers sit between the tank lid and the tank rim so the lid rests on rubber instead of china. If the originals have gone hard, flattened out, or fallen off, replacing them with the THU6716 assembly is the fix.
4) I manage a building with TOTO toilets - can I order THU6716 to standardize spare bumpers?
Yes. THU6716 is a single TOTO service part for lid and seat bumpers, so it is easy to stock as a repeat MRO item across openings with TOTO fixtures. Match it to your specific TOTO toilet model before ordering a quantity, since bumper assemblies are model-specific.
5) Do I need any tools or additional parts to install the TOTO THU6716 bumpers?
No plumbing work is involved. Bumper assemblies like the THU6716 press or stick into place on the lid and seat contact points, so the tank does not have to be drained or removed. Nothing else is required to complete the swap.
