TOTO THU465 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU465 and what does it do on a toilet?
The THU465 is TOTO's outlet straight pipe adaptor, a flush valve part for toilets. It sits on the flush valve outlet side and carries water straight through to the bowl. It is a replacement component, not a complete flush valve assembly, so you order it when that adaptor piece is cracked, worn, or missing rather than when you need the whole valve.
2) What part number do I give my plumbing supplier for the TOTO outlet straight pipe adaptor?
Order it as TOTO THU465. That is the manufacturer part number for the outlet straight pipe adaptor, and TOTO tank parts are model specific, so quoting the THU number is what gets you the correct piece rather than a similar looking adaptor from another series.
3) Is the THU465 a complete flush valve or just one piece of it?
Just one piece. The THU465 covers the outlet straight pipe adaptor within the flush valve assembly. If the tower, seal, or valve body itself is the problem, the adaptor alone will not fix it, and you need the matching flush valve component for your specific TOTO toilet model instead.
4) I manage a building with TOTO toilets. Can I stock the THU465 as a standard repair part across all of them?
Treat it as model specific, not universal. TOTO flush valve internals vary by toilet series, and the THU465 adaptor is sold as a single part number with no size or finish choices, so the right move is to confirm the THU number called out for the tank model you actually have before you buy a case of them for the property.
