TOTO THU771-A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Toto THU771-A a complete flush valve or just a guard piece?
It is a splash guard, not a flush valve assembly. The part fits the flush valve tower area of the in-wall tank and controls water splash inside the tank; if the flush valve itself is leaking or failing, the guard alone will not correct it.
2) I manage a building with Toto in-wall tank toilets. Can maintenance staff replace the THU771-A without pulling the bowl?
The splash guard sits inside the in-wall tank at the flush valve tower, so access is through the tank access panel rather than the bowl. It is a one-piece replacement component ordered under a single part number, THU771-A, which makes it straightforward to stock for a fleet of WT171M tanks.
3) Does the Toto THU771-A splash guard come in different finishes or sizes?
No. THU771-A is sold as a single configuration, with no finish or size choices. It is an internal tank component, so appearance is not a factor in the order.
