TOTO THP5636#PFG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THP5636#PFG part?
It's the slide bar pipe itself, a TOTO repair/replacement component for a shower slide bar assembly, ordered under part number THP5636#PFG in the PFG finish code. You're buying the bar, not a complete handshower kit.
2) I manage apartments and a tenant's shower slide bar is bent - can I just replace the bar?
That's exactly what this part is for. THP5636#PFG is the pipe portion of a TOTO slide bar sold as a replacement part, so if the mounting brackets and handshower holder are intact you can swap the bar alone instead of the whole assembly. Match the finish code #PFG to the existing trim so it doesn't stand out from the rest of the valve hardware.
3) Will the THP5636 slide bar pipe fit a non-TOTO shower bar?
Treat it as TOTO-only. It is a TOTO service part sized to TOTO slide bar brackets and holders; bar diameters and bracket spacing vary by manufacturer, so it should not be planned in as a cross-brand replacement.
4) Does the TOTO THP5636#PFG slide bar pipe come with a handshower or hose?
No. THP5636#PFG is the slide bar pipe on its own. A handshower, hose, and any holder or bracket not already on the wall have to be ordered separately as TOTO parts.
5) What finish is the #PFG suffix on TOTO THP5636?
The #PFG suffix is TOTO's finish code on this slide bar pipe, and it's the only configuration the part is built in under this number. When you're matching other trim in the same shower, specify the same #PFG code on those TOTO parts so the finishes line up.
