TOTO THP5636#PN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THP5636#PN, a complete slide bar or just the bar itself?
THP5636#PN is the slide bar pipe only, the bar component of a TOTO shower slide bar assembly. It is a replacement/service part, not a full hand shower kit, so brackets, hand shower, hose and supply elbow are separate items.
2) I need to replace a damaged shower bar in a hotel bathroom. Can I order just the bar from TOTO?
Yes, that is what THP5636#PN is for. It is the bar pipe sold as an individual service part, so a scratched or bent bar can be swapped without replacing the hand shower, hose or mounting brackets. Keep the existing brackets and confirm your bar is the same TOTO model before ordering.
3) Can the TOTO THP5636#PN slide bar be used in a tub/shower combination, not just a shower stall?
Yes. The THP5636 slide bar pipe is specified for shower and tub applications, so it works in a tub/shower combo as well as a standalone shower.
4) What finish is TOTO THP5636#PN and will it match my other polished nickel trim?
The #PN suffix on a TOTO part number is Polished Nickel, and that is the only finish this slide bar pipe is offered in. If the rest of your shower trim is TOTO #PN, it will match; a brushed nickel or chrome valve trim will not.
