TOTO THP4936#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THP4936#CP handle assembly used for?
THP4936#CP is a TOTO replacement handle assembly for the Connelly faucet line, supplied in polished chrome. It is a faucet service part, so you order it to replace a damaged or worn handle rather than to buy a complete faucet. The trim, spout and valve body are not included.
2) Is THP4936#CP the right-hand or left-hand Connelly handle?
It is the right-side handle. TOTO sells Connelly handles as side-specific parts, so on a two-handle Connelly installation this one covers the right position only. If you are replacing both handles, or the hot side on a standard layout, you need the matching left-hand handle assembly as a separate part number.
3) Will a Connelly handle assembly fit other TOTO faucet lines?
No. THP4936#CP is built to the Connelly series handle and broach, and TOTO handle assemblies are line-specific. Putting a Connelly handle on a Vivian, Silas or other TOTO faucet will not engage correctly. Identify the faucet series first, then order the handle part number for that series.
4) What finish does the Connelly THP4936 handle come in?
Polished chrome, denoted by the #CP suffix in the part number. TOTO uses that suffix across its trim lines, so the handle matches other polished chrome Connelly components. If your faucet is brushed nickel or another TOTO finish, this handle will not match and you want the same THP4936 base number with that finish suffix instead.
5) Does the THP4936#CP handle include the cartridge or valve stem?
No. It is a handle assembly only. If the faucet is dripping or the handle turns without shutting off water, the problem is in the ceramic cartridge, not the handle, and that is ordered separately. Buy the handle when it is cracked, stripped at the broach, or finish-damaged.
6) Can a property manager standardize on this handle across multiple bathrooms?
Yes, where the faucets are TOTO Connelly in polished chrome. Because the part is side-specific, stock both the right-hand THP4936#CP and its left-hand counterpart if you are carrying spares for a building with two-handle Connelly lavatory sets. One part number will only cover half the handles in the property.
