TOTO THP4948#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THP4948 part for?
THP4948#CP is TOTO's replacement handle assembly for the Connelly widespread faucet, in polished chrome. It's a service part, not a complete faucet, so it's what you order when the handle on an installed Connelly widespread is broken, loose, or missing rather than when you're buying the fixture.
2) Will the THP4948 handle fit a TOTO Connelly centerset or single-hole faucet?
No. The THP4948 assembly is specified for the Connelly widespread (WS) configuration. A centerset or single-hole Connelly uses different handle hardware, so ordering this one for those trims gets you a part that won't mount. Match the WS designation on the faucet you're servicing.
3) Can I replace just the handle on a Connelly widespread faucet instead of the whole faucet?
Yes, that's exactly what THP4948#CP is for. TOTO sells the Connelly widespread handle as a service assembly, so a stripped or damaged handle is a parts swap on the existing valve and deck rather than a full fixture replacement. For property managers with several Connelly widespreads across a building, it also means one handle part number covers repairs on all of the polished chrome ones.
4) Does the TOTO THP4948 come in finishes other than polished chrome?
Polished chrome only. The #CP suffix in THP4948#CP is TOTO's polished chrome code, and that's the single version of this handle assembly offered. If the Connelly faucet on the job is brushed nickel or another TOTO finish, the handle part number carries a different suffix and this one won't match the rest of the trim.
5) Is TOTO THP4948 one handle or a hot and cold pair?
THP4948#CP is ordered as the Connelly widespread handle assembly under a single part number. A widespread faucet has separate hot and cold handles on the deck, so if both are damaged, order by the quantity you need for the openings you're servicing.
