TOTO THP4948#BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THP4948#BN and what faucet does it go on?
THP4948#BN is a TOTO handle assembly for the Connelly widespread lavatory faucet. It is a faucet repair/replacement part, not a complete faucet, so it is what you order when the handle itself is damaged, loose, or missing rather than when you are replacing the valve or the spout.
2) Will the TOTO THP4948#BN handle fit a TOTO centerset or single-hole faucet?
No. The THP4948 handle assembly is specified for the Connelly widespread lavatory faucet, where the handles sit on separate valve bodies away from the spout. Centerset and single-hole TOTO faucets use different handle assemblies, so order the part called out for that specific model instead.
3) What finish is TOTO THP4948#BN and will it match my other Connelly trim?
The #BN suffix on the end of the TOTO part number is the finish code for brushed nickel. If the rest of your Connelly faucet trim is brushed nickel, this handle matches it. For a polished chrome or other finish faucet, order the THP4948 in the matching finish code rather than this one, since the handle is sold finish-specific.
4) Do I get one handle or a pair of handles with THP4948#BN?
THP4948#BN is a single handle assembly. A Connelly widespread faucet uses two handles (hot and cold), so if both are being replaced or you want them to match, order two.
5) Does this TOTO handle part include the cartridge or valve?
No. THP4948#BN covers the handle assembly only. Cartridges, valve bodies, and the spout are separate TOTO service parts, so if the faucet is dripping rather than the handle being damaged, the handle is not the part that fixes it.
