1) Will these Accentra mounting screws work on a standard 1-3/4 inch commercial door?
No. The Accentra 81-0013-0428-999 screw set is cut for doors 2-1/4 to 2-3/4 inches thick (57 to 70 mm). On a standard 1-3/4 inch commercial door the screws will be too long to draw the trim tight against the lock case, and you need the shorter screw set for that thickness range instead.
2) Which Accentra or Yale locks do these mounting screws fit?
They are the OEM screws for Accentra 8800 Series Grade 1 mortise locks, the line formerly sold under the Yale Commercial name. They fasten the trim to the mortise case and drop into the factory prep with no modification. They are not intended for cylindrical or bored locks.
3) How many screws come in the Accentra 8800 mounting screw set, and is that enough for one lockset?
Two screws per set, and that covers one lock. An 8800 Series mortise lockset uses two mounting screws to pull the inside and outside trim assemblies together onto the case. If you are servicing several openings, order one set per lock.
4) My 8800 lever trim keeps working loose. Is replacing the mounting screws the fix?
Often, yes. The two mounting screws are what clamp the inside and outside trim to the mortise case, so stripped or stretched screws let the trim rock and throw the spindle out of alignment. Swapping in the OEM set restores the clamp and the alignment. Match the set to your door: this one is for 2-1/4 to 2-3/4 inch thick doors.
5) Does this Accentra screw set include the spindle or anything else needed to reinstall 8800 trim?
Screws only, two of them. Spindles, lever trim, cylinders and the mortise case itself are separate parts. If a spindle is also cut short for your door thickness, that has to be ordered on its own.
