1) Will the ACSI 1550K-MDF work on my Falcon exit devices, or do I need a different kit?
The 1550K-MDF is cut for Falcon 24 and 25 Series exit devices only. If you're working on Falcon 1690 or 1790 devices, that's the 1550K-MDO instead. Other brands take their own version of the 1550K: Von Duprin 33A/35A and 98/99 use the MDV, Von Duprin 22 uses the MDV22, Sargent 80 and Arrow 1000/3000/4000 use the MDS, Corbin Russwin ED4000/ED5000 and Yale 7000 use the MDC. Ordering the wrong suffix gets you a kit that won't mount.
2) Do I have to buy a new exit device to get electric latch retraction, or can I convert the Falcon devices already on the doors?
