Adams Rite 31-0265 Dogging Assembly for 8000 Series Exit Devices
The Adams Rite 31-0265 dogging assembly is a direct-replacement component for 8000 Series exit devices. Dogging holds the exit device latchbolt in the retracted position, allowing free passage without actuating the touchbar - a common requirement in high-traffic commercial corridors, lobbies, and propped-open service doors during business hours.
Two variants are available to match your installation type:
- 31-0265-01 - Standard dogging assembly for non-electrified, non-alarmed exit device installations.
- 31-0265-IP - Isolation-plate dogging assembly required when the exit device is connected to an electric latch retraction, alarm, or access control system. The IP variant electrically isolates the dogging mechanism to prevent interference with the electrified circuit.
Compatibility
- Adams Rite 8000 Series exit devices (8300, 8400, 8700, 8800, EX88)
- Narrow stile aluminum door applications
- Rim and top-of-door mounted configurations
Construction
- Aluminum construction
- Series-specific design for direct drop-in replacement
Installation
Install per the Adams Rite 8000 Series exit device installation instructions. Confirm whether your device is connected to an electrified or alarmed system before ordering - electrified and alarmed installations require the 31-0265-IP variant.
