Aiphone AC-PT-H26 - Series 26-bit HID Format Adhesive Backed Proximity Disk Tag

The AC-PT-H26 is a 125kHz proximity credential in 26-bit format, so it reads on prox readers set up for 125kHz and 26-bit data. If your system runs 13.56MHz smart cards or a 34-bit/custom format, this disk will not enroll. Site code and card number are printed on the credential, which makes enrolling into the access control database straightforward.

The disk sticks to something the user already carries. The AC-PT-H26 has a PVC body with adhesive backing so it mounts to an existing photo ID badge, a phone case, a wallet, or a similar item. That suits buildings where staff already carry a badge from another system and you do not want to issue a second card, or where you want to add prox access without changing the ID program. A standard card or fob is the better choice if you need a printable badge face or a keyring credential.

About 3-1/2 inches from the disk to the reader. That is a present-and-touch distance, not a drive-up or hands-free range, so mount the reader where a user can bring the badge or phone right up to the faceplate. If the disk is stuck to a phone or a wallet with metal in it, expect the user to have to hold it closer still.

The site code and card number are printed right on the disk face, so you can key credentials into the access control software by hand, in batches, without presenting each one to an enrollment reader. That matters when you are commissioning a building and handing out credentials in bulk.

It is a commercial-grade credential in the Aiphone AC Series access control line, sold as an accessory to the readers and keypads in that family. Property managers and MRO buyers use it for adding prox credentials across a tenant population without reissuing badges.
