IX-SOFT is a PC-based master station for the Aiphone IX Series. Aiphone sells it as a Standard single license or in 3, 5, and 10 IX-SOFT bundles, so multi-desk installs are usually ordered as a bundle rather than as separate singles. 3) Will Aiphone IX-SOFT run on our Windows PCs?
IX-SOFT installs on Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate; Windows 8.1, 8.1 Pro, or 8.1 Enterprise; and Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, or Education. 4) How many door and master stations can one IX-SOFT system handle?
Station capacity is a maximum of 499 stations, and up to 9,998 stations in expanded mode. That covers everything from a single entry to a campus-scale IX Series deployment, so a property manager standardizing intercom across a portfolio does not hit a ceiling at a few dozen doors.
5) Does Aiphone IX-SOFT integrate with our existing phone system?
IX-SOFT is certified for use with Cisco Unified Call Manager, Avaya IP Office and Avaya Aura, and Alcatel-Lucent's OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE) and OXO Connect platforms. It speaks SIP along with IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, RTSP, RTP, RTCP, IGMP, MLD, SMTP, SFTP, DHCP, NTP and DNS, which is what lets it sit on the same VoIP infrastructure a facility already runs rather than needing a separate intercom cable plant.

8) How does a guard know an IX Series door station has gone offline?
The Line Supervision menu in IX-SOFT reports device functionality and network status for each station, and Device Check confirms the system will operate as expected. For an institutional buyer this is the difference between finding out a lobby station is dead during a scheduled check and finding out when a visitor presses the button and nobody answers.
9) If I move the security PC or replace it, do I have to buy a new IX-SOFT license?
