Alarm Controls Z Brackets Series for 600 and 1200 Series Magnetic Locks

A Z bracket is what you use when the door swings in toward the maglock. The Alarm Controls Z brackets are for in-swinging doors: the lock body mounts on the frame header and the Z bracket carries the armature down and out so it meets the lock face on a door that opens away from the stop. On an out-swinging door the armature typically lands flat on the door face and no Z bracket is needed. Confirm the swing before you order, because the bracket is swing-specific, not a universal spacer.

Double locks take the 75 series brackets. The AM3375 is the Z bracket for a 600 Series double magnetic lock, and the AM6375 is the Z bracket for a 1200 Series double magnetic lock. The AM3370 and AM6370 are the single lock versions. Order by lock holding force first, then single or double.

The dress cover is an ordering choice, and it is not offered on every bracket. You can take any of the four brackets with the cover not included, but the integrated dress cover option is for the AM3370 and AM6370 single lock brackets only. If you are doing an AM3375 or AM6375 double lock installation, spec the bracket without the cover.

Each bracket has a stated adjustment range, which is what lets you dial the armature to the door face. The 600 Series bracket (AM3370C) adjusts from 2 inches to 2.75 inches. The 1200 Series bracket (AM6370C) adjusts from 2.375 inches to 3.5 inches. Measure from the mounting surface to where the armature has to sit before ordering; if your dimension falls outside the range for your lock's bracket, the bracket will not close the gap.

Clear anodized aluminum, US28. That is the standard finish Alarm Controls uses across the 600 and 1200 Series maglock hardware, so the bracket reads as the same satin aluminum as the lock housing on the header. For a property manager standardizing a run of glass or aluminum storefront openings, every bracket in the line comes in that one finish, so the doors match without specifying a finish code.
