Metallics AAK68 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Metallics AAK68 and how many pieces come in it?
The AAK68 is an Arrow hollow wall anchor kit from Metallics, ordered as a single kit (1 pc) under part number AAK68. Hollow wall anchors like these are what you use when there is no stud behind the drywall or block face and the fastener has to hold in the panel itself, typical for mounting electrical boxes, straps, and light-duty fixtures.
2) Is the Metallics AAK68 a hollow wall anchor or a solid masonry anchor?
Hollow wall. The AAK68 is an Arrow hollow wall anchor kit, so it is intended for drywall, plaster, and hollow block where the back of the wall is open. For solid concrete or brick you want a masonry anchor such as a sleeve or wedge anchor instead, not this kit.
