Nylon expansion anchors are made for solid base material. In solid brick, concrete or solid block they grip well. In plain drywall with no stud behind it, or in the void of a hollow block, there is nothing for the sleeve to expand against, so use a toggle or a self-drilling hollow-wall anchor there instead.

The WAK33 kit is built around 1/4 inch red Expandet nylon expansion anchors, packed 50 to a clamshell. Red is the Expandet colour code for the 1/4 inch size, so you can pull the right anchor out of a mixed bucket on sight.

Nylon expansion anchors like the 1/4 inch red Expandet are the standard light-duty fixing for mounting into masonry, brick, block and concrete: device boxes, straps, raceway, panel trim, conduit clamps, and surface-mount fixtures. The nylon sleeve expands against the hole wall as the screw drives in, so holding power comes from friction rather than from a mechanical wedge. For heavy or vibrating loads, or anything overhead carrying real weight, step up to a steel wedge or sleeve anchor instead.

The WAK33 is sold as a kit of 1/4 inch red Expandet nylon anchors, 50 per clamshell. Confirm the screw type and length you need against the thickness of what you are fastening plus the anchor length, and order those separately if your kit does not cover them.
