Metallics MAN14 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the MAN14 anchor long enough for mounting through drywall into the stud or block behind it?
At 2 inches overall, the MAN14 gives you enough body to pass through a 1/2 or 5/8 inch wallboard layer and still seat in the base material behind it. Measure your fixture thickness plus the wall layer first: whatever those two add up to has to leave usable anchor depth within that 2 inches, or you need a longer anchor.
2) How many anchors come in a jar of Metallics MAN14?
Each jar holds 50 anchors. They ship in a jar rather than a bag or box, which keeps the count intact in a gang box or on a cart between openings.
3) What part number do I order for the #14 x 2 inch Mungo anchor from Metallics?
Order Metallics MAN14. That single part number covers the #14 screw size, 2 inch anchor in the 50 count jar, so there is no size or finish option to specify on top of it.
