Metallics MAN8 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How many anchors come in a jar of Metallics MAN8?
Each jar holds 100 anchors, packaged in a jar rather than a bag or box, which is the handier format for a cart or van bin when you are setting devices all day.
2) Does the MAN8 anchor come with screws?
No. The jar of 100 is anchors only, so order #8 screws separately in the length your fixture and substrate need. Keep in mind that the screw has to clear the fixture thickness and still engage the full 1 inch anchor body.
3) What part number do I order for the Metallics #8 x 1 inch Mungo anchor?
Order it as Metallics MAN8. That single model covers the #8 screw size in the 1 inch length, supplied 100 to a jar.
4) What is the Metallics MAN8 anchor used for on electrical work?
It is a 1 inch Mungo-style anchor for a #8 screw, the size electricians reach for when mounting device boxes, straps, raceway and small enclosures to masonry or drywall. Metallics catalogues it on the electrical side, so it is stocked as a trade fastener rather than a hardware-store blister pack.
